First click on the "ride title" to see a popup short description of the ride. Then click on the "popup ride title" to see a *** FULL DESCRIPTION *** of the ride details.
NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

We'll head outbound along the north route, that includes the run past the Shrine. Then we'll head down to the waterfront and spin into Westhampton Beach.
After a short stop in Westhampton Beach at around 16.2 miles, we'll start our trip back to the finish. We'll do the Casa Basso and Head of the Neck, but we'll add a few additional turns before we take Weeks to Dayton and the finish.
If you think you'll do this ride with me then please contact me ... otherwise I may just cancel and ride in my own backyard!
Eastport is the best Begineer Mtn Bike trail on Long Island. I will go as slow as the slowest rider.
Contact me (631-988-6557) if you plan to join us and I'll contact you directly if there's any changes AND you'll only have to add your signature to the Ride Sign In sheet.
This venue requires a DEC parking permit (haven't seen anyone being checked for a long time though). Easy to obtain a permit here: https://www.sbraweb.org/node/6490
Always check back to my postings before leaving for the ride ... Life Happens and Things Change!
This will be an easy C+ ride around Center Moriches, that will average 11.8 - 12.5 and will be taking our break at Nettie's. There are some very nice water views along the way. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Since the exact route will be determined as we go along, there will not be a cue sheet.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride, text me (631-523-2129) with your Name, SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
MEETING LOCATION: straight back from Wendy's and Dunkin Donuts, on the EAST SIDE of the shopping center.
Riders should arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready
Burn off those turkey calories and get warm with a few hills on the way to the Nissequogue Beaches followed by a few slices. The ride starts and ends with some long flat strong B- stretches with some scenic low traffic hills in between. We'll slow down as needed on the hills so don't worry if you're not sure of your hill skill. One bathroom stop about midway. Park in the rear of the lot across from Little Vincents and join us for some of (arguably) LI's best slices afterward (CASH ONLY).
