This is INSTEAD OF THE Kreb Ride this week. 

Pace is A- so 19-20 avg at ride end. The loop is same as the typical week (The Maples). No official rest stop, but definite regroup right after turn onto Dayton before the climb.

***Please bring adequate water bottles and nutrition, as there are no food/water/restroom accommodations on this ride.***

ALSO, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: RIDE LEADER SIGNS EVERYONE INTO THE RIDE! No sharing of clipboard or pen.

The Kreb Ride has been canceled this week. In an effort to slow the spread of the Covid 19 virus we feel that holding a paceline group ride is not the proper choice right now. With the scientific community stressing that the next few weeks are vital in trying to control this pandemic we have suspended the ride. I know how much we valve the time we get to spend with each other and the social aspect of this ride has been one of the fantastic things about it for so long, and it is for that reason that the ride is suspended.

We're all making tough decisions right now...about work, about our loved ones and friends. I'm looking at a situation where the busy part of our season could be totally wiped away with cash flow being a severe problem...... but we need to make smart choices that keep us all safe as a community.

I trust that everyone will continue to ride through this whole ordeal. It's such a fantastic outlet from all that is going on in the world right now. And when it's all over we'll value those group rides even more.

Stay safe-keep informed-and love all your brothers and sisters.

During this very diffucult time cycling can be an outlet to relieve stress.

I will continue to post rides. But i will only do so if the following guidelines are followed.

Anyone who does not follow them will be asked to leave the ride immediatedately no exceptions.

Under no circumstances should a rider show up not feeling well, with sniffles or a cold etc.

Every one shall refrain from shaking hands hugging etc. and maintain a safe distance from each other. Frequent hand washing is a must.

We shall ride at least 1 bike length behind the rider in front of you. No nose blowing into the air . Bring tissues with you. Call for a stop if you have to blow your nose or sneeze.

Maintain social distance from each other at the rest stops or any other stops,

We must do our part to stop the spread of this awful virus. While we still have fun on our bike rides.

UPDATE - The BOARD is suspending club rides being posted on the website, and those currently posted will most likely be removed (including this one). However, individual ride leaders may still lead rides (nothing to do with the club) and, obviously, follow safe guidelines regarding the virus pandemic. I will still be going out on this ride, and will either mention other on the Forum, or in individual emails. Everyone must make their own decision to ride or not - obviously don't if you are sick or ill 0 but if yo want the exercise, and to get out in the fresh air (which is what is being recommended), you are more than welcome.

Come out and join me for this ride from Bellport to the Beach. We will make a quick stop at 7-11 for any snacks or beverages on our way to the beach. 

This is a C+ ride, which will average 12.0 - 12.4, depending on the wind and the riders, and there will be cue sheets.

Note: If the winds are very strong, the destination of the ride may change.
