NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This is the East route to The Maples, with an extra 8 mile (Mill/Connecticut/Grumman/Line Rd) loop tacked on after The Maples. Bring adequate food & water, the rest stop is a parking lot with no services.
Note: If the Senior Center is open, we will park on Cove Lane, just across the street from the Senior Center. You must have a mask with you on this ride, and read all the information on the website and follow the instructions given. No non-members on rides at this time. This ride is limited to the number of riders allowed. If more than 6 text me they are coming, I will split the ride so we can take a maximum of 12. You must text me at 631-356-3036 if you want to ride. I will return the text with a yes, or a RIDE Filled. We will stop at a deli in Cutchogue, and for ice cream on the return. Questions, call above #. Any changes will be posted by 06:30am day of ride.
Mostly flat ride to Flo's Luncheonette in Bayport a new route via the Babylons, West Islip,Brightwaters, Bay Shore, the Islips, Oakdale and Sayville. Likely will need to wear mask if we stop there or anywhere else such as Starbucks in Sayville, etc.
Easy C+ to B- pace to accommodate Riders who have not gotten much riding in.
RSVP to me no later than 24 hours before ride with your SBRA number, email, cell phone#, and emergency contact information. This way it can be entered by me to save time getting the ride off ontime.

There is parking on the side streets next to 65 E Hoffman Ave(USPS Lindenhurst) and across the street LIRR parking is unrestricted on Holidays and weekends.
Please note that bathrooms are still scarce. At last check even the LIRR Babylon ticket office is closed.
After leading 75 rides while the calendar was closed, I am delighted to be able to post this ride for this first day back for the ride calendar.
This will be a C ride, which will average 11.5 - 12. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc.. We will go around Calverton and Manorville, and take our break at Bean & Bagel.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
NOTE - YOU MUST BE A CLUB MEMBER TO GO ON CLUB RIDES
Looking for a nice easy ride to start? This is it. Flat back roads. No official stop so bring a snack if you want. We can hit a porta potty if needed. Average speed 10-11 mph.
