Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This ride, with its later start time so we can have lunch, is weather dependent. If the weather heats up, make sure you check for changes. This ride will have scenic stops, and lunch and restroom stops, so plan on the ride taking extra time and plan your day accordingly. Number of riders is limited, so reserve your spot by texting me your SBRA#, along with emergency and cell numbers. Include your full name and ride date. I will let you know if you are in the ride, or weather the ride has filled up. This is a scenic ride along the Peconic Bay, also passing farms and vineyards, and a stop by the L.I. Sound. Braun's seafood has a window for orders and takeout, plus bathrooms, and numerous picnic tables under a tent covering. The seafood is wonderful, they also have chicken and burgers if you dislike fish. In the same parking lot is Scoops and Grinds if you just want coffee/cake/ice cream. For info: text Bill G. at 631-356-3036. Check the ride calendar for changes, which would either be posted the night before the ride, or by 7:45am day of ride. You must have a mask, and must read the SBRA information posted below this ride description.
Number of riders is limited to 8; so to be included in any of my rides, you must text 631-331-5642 with your name, your SBRA #, along with cell and emergency #s. If I already have your details just tell me which ride you want to be included on.
We will be exploring some roads I have never been along before on our way to Braun's seafood and Scoops and Grinds in Cupsouge. Read Bill's description for details. On the way back there is another ice-cream shop in Mattituck! It is a fairly flat route.
