The ride destination has changed due to the threat of showers.  Briermere leaves us far from where our cars are parked.  We will ride in areas that will keep us closer to our cars in the event of rain.  Bring your own snack, or we could stop at Bean and Bagel, just a few miles from our cars. Come out and join me for this ride from Bellport to the Smith Point Marina. We will make a bathroom stop at Weirtheim, then a quick stop at 7-11 for any snacks or beverages, then on to the Marina for our break.  

This is a C+/B- ride which will average 13.2 - 13.8 (depending on the wind and the riders), we will be observing spacing rules, etc., and there will be cue sheets.

The ride start is in the car park opposite the fire department in Yaphank.  This ride explores some of the picturesque back roads in Center Moriches before visiting Netties bakery (mile 18), where there are bathrooms and chickens!

The rain that was supposed to hold off to the south shore until 11am now has shifted North and according to the radar screen will be raining from 8am until late this afternoon therefore I have canceled the ride for today.

COME ON THIS 18-22 MILE RIDE AT A 10.6-12 PACE. Newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Bring face covering, water and a snack if we do not stop as direction depends on the wind direction, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition.
