I haven't been to Briermere all season so it's time to go! Park in the lot behind the stores on Main Street (usually we park as far east as we can-you'll see us). Low to mid C + pace; stop at Briermere around mile 14. Bathrooms and goodies are available. Let me know via text, call or email or post here, if you wish to join me. A few rolling hills-done at your own pace. Always check back here for any changes. Contact me with any questions. Be familiar with the SBRA covid guidelines.
Join me for this early evening 15-20 mile ride around Ronkonkoma and the surrounding areas. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. There should be plenty of daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time. PARK on the North side of the train station East of Main Terminal.
Newbies always welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets dropped. This will be a C pace ride, which will average 11–12 (possibly faster or slower, depending on who is on the ride). We will be observing social distancing, etc., and you must have a face-covering with you. This ride has been known to stop Ice Cream trucks.
Number of riders is limited to 8; so to be included in any of my rides, you must text 631-331-5642 with your name, your SBRA #, along with cell and emergency #s. If I already have your details just tell me which ride you want to be included on.
Make sure you check before coming on the ride, I'll post changes by 3:45pm
An early evening scenic ride in Setauket and the surrounding area. The ride classification takes into account the rolling hills route, there will be wait ups after climbs and opportunities to 'stretch your legs'. For those interested we often go to Green Cactus after the ride, where there is outdoor dining.
