NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Changed to Sunday, due to a Street Fair in Belport on Saturday (thanks, Tom).
Join me for this C+ ride, which will average 12.0 - 12.6. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. We will ride from Bellport through Patchogue, and then take our break at the Sayville Beach (bathroom available). Bring a snack, or you can pick one up on the way.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.

A scenic ride along Peconic Bay, than riding past farms and vineyards, along with a stop by the Long Island Sound. Main rest stop will be Scoops and Grinds, where coffee, ice cream and baked goods, along with bathrooms, are available. We will explore some of the back roads of Southold before having a break at at Goose Creek Beach (looks like it has bathrooms!). We will then head north, visit the lighthouse before returning to Cutchogue. We will be stopping to look at the views.
Join me for this scenic C- ride, cruising speed will be 10-11 depending on the group. No one gets dropped.
We will meander around some quiet back roads in East Islip, before heading west to Islip where we will stop at the beach for a snack and bathroom break. Then ride the Heckscher Park bike path where we will wind our way along the Great South Bay on our return leg to Timber Point Golf Course. I'm not sure whether food is available at the beach at this point. Please bring water, spare tube, and a snack if you wish.

We haven't posted this ride in a while,...it's an easy pedal from Abraham Lincoln school parking lot to Belmont Lake State Park. We'll take the trail to the Town of Babylon and stop at the deli for breakfast, outdoor seating is provided at the deli. There are also restrooms available in Belmont and in town.
