This C+ ride of 18-25 miles will average 11.5-12.5mph. Bring snack/hydration as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. Newbies welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:30am. No need to text, email, phone, send message by carrier pidgeon or smoke signal me. Just show up 15-20 minutes before ride start to get your s**t together.

NOTE: Depending on temperature and the group, we can alter the route to keep everyone warm!

This ride will have us on some roads where we can have some nice long paceline runs!

The route will include Route 24 to Riverhead, then to County Roads 104 and 31. After the long rise up to the airport, we'll do a long run down to the Village of Westhampton Beach, where we'll have a rest stop at around 25 miles.  Then it's the run along the waterfront and Remsenberg to Eastport and the return run up to Manorville.

Today's’ route to Great River will change up a bit towards the end of the ride - if the wind is in our favor; making this route pretty flat except for 2 overpasses. We will go the usual route heading south using the Connetquot Park bike bath. We’ll work our way down to Heckscher Park .I would like to keep the road speed  between 15- 16 mph and come in at an average 14 and 14.9. Its still cold out there and alot of riders have not been riding. Pulls always appreciated.
