Change: This will be a lower end B+ ride, maybe even down to a faster B/B+... I'm still recovering from the weekend!
Regroup after the Tanks at Iron Pier Beach!
MTM: Manorville to Mattituck! This time the route covers 51 miles.
This will be a paceline ride out onto the North Fork. Along the way, we'll visit the Tanks! Eventually we'll ride out through the fields on Oregon Road and Depot Road. We then head south into Mattituck for a quick food stop at the Goldberg's Bagels store.
After the refuel, it's back home along Peconic Bay Boulevard and Hubbard Avenue to Riverhead. Then it's the long run up Route 24 to the finish.
Join me for this C ride, which will average 11.2 - 11.7; no one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride route will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will most likely head west and our break will be determined by our route; there will be a bathroom stop.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
This ride is hills 101. We ride to the Setauket lighthouse (where we have our snack) and back. There is no bathroom on this ride. Doing this ride over the weeks makes us stronger on hills and on the flats. We ride together on the flatter sections and when we get to the hills we take them at our own pace and meet up at the top. New hill riders are welcome. Any questions, please text me at 631-835-1454.
Please let me know if you're coming on the ride (text above). If there are no takers, I will leave from home. Any change or cancellation will be posted by 7:30am morning of ride.
Good ride for those who haven't been riding much. We will keep it at an easy pace and no more than 15 miles. No food stop so bring a snack and drink for a short stop. Park behind Wendy's. Contact me with any questions. Always check back for any changes which would be posted by 7:15 am.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 22 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15 mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 1:30pm day of ride.
