This ride has been changed to provide a better venue for B+/A riders. I"ll be leading the B+ group
which will be structured and any faster riders who want to go off the front are welcomed to and cue sheets we'll be provided. Plz note the 1/2 hr earlier ride start. This ride change will hopefully help in bringing all groups back to the parking lot around the same time period so that people can get together for stage two of this multi cllub ride.
At the conclusion of this ride a number of riders are planning to head over to Southold to the Custer Institute to view the annual Perseid meteor shower. The institute has an observatory and they are having a gathering there that night specifically for this event. A 5.00 donation is recommended. Bring a lawn chair for this event which starts at 9pm. Everyone should have enough time after the ride to get a bite to eat and be able to make the 9pm celestial event . If you are planning to attend the second part of this ride plz rsvp me so that I can give a heads up to the people over at the institute. No go rain and the second half will be cancelled if we have cloud cover.
