NOTE: The Town has postponed the Cultural Activities & Lunch due to the hurricane, but the ride is still on. Today I am offering a beautiful ride from the Riverhead Waterfront, which will conclude with an opportunity to partake in a cultural event being run by the Town of Riverhead Recreation Department at the Waterfront from Noon to 2:00PM (more info below). We shall ride around Riverhead, go out to Jamesport, and then return to the Waterfront. This will be a structured B- ride, with an average of 13.8 - 14.0, there will be cue sheets, and there will be a short stop at Pier Beach to view the LI Sound and use the facilities.

When we return to the Waterfront, the Cultural Event will have at least one artist exhibiting her paintings, some live music, and maybe some photographic displays, as well. As part of the event, a Farm Country Box Lunch (6 choices) is being offered for $8, which includes sandwich, chocolate chip cookie (which we will have earned on our ride) and a bottle of water. The lunch may be ordered in advance by calling the Cultural Affairs Office at 722-4444 x731, or just purchased that day (but your chioces may be limited).
