RIDE UPDATE - SUNDAY 10:30AM - I'VE BEEN OUT THIS MORNING AND THERE ARE STILL LOTS OF PUDDLES AND SLUSHY SNOW AROUND. IT MIGHT BE OK FOR MOUNTIAN BIKES OR HYBRIDS BUT NOT FOR ROAD BIKES. RIDE IS CANCELLED, WE'LL TRY AGAIN NEXT WEEK.

RIDE UPDATE - SATURDAY 7:30AM - NOT SURE WHEN THE SNOW WILL BE ARRIVING THIS MORNING SO I AM RESCHEDULING FOR SUNDAY AT 1:00PM. LET'S HOPE THAT TONIGHT'S RAIN WASHES AWAY ANY SNOW AND THAT THE ROADS ARE DRIED OUT BY NOON TOMORROW. CHECK BACK TO THIS POSTING SUNDAY MORNING TO SEE WHETHER THE RIDE IS STILL ON.

Meet at the southwest corner of the station parking lot, closest to Montauk Hwy. Ride east through Oakdale, Sayville, Bayport and Blue Point, with a short rest stop at Corey Beach. Bring snacks, there is no food stop. If the group wishes, the mileage can be increased to 25 by doing an optional loop through the Oakdale area in and around Dowling College. Pace will be between 13.5 and 14.5. Optional food stop at the Green Cactus after the ride.
