A dangerous road condition exists on Railroad Avenue in the town of Babylon. This road runs parallel to the parking lot on the south side of the LIRR station. The hazard is the same as reported by Art a few weeks ago. The cement sections have a separation greater than 1" and runs for more than 50 feet (see attached photos). The separation is wide enough to catch a bicycle tire and cause an accident; I can give a first hand account of going down due to this hazard.
The town of Babylon will be notified but the problem may not be addressed until the Spring; hopefully before our Montauk RR Century in May.
Ride Carefully!
