Hi Everyone
I’ll once again be leading a team on a ride from Shirley to Montauk point to benefit the childhood cancer research funded by the St Baldrick’s Foundation. This year’s ride will be on Saturday May 11 (Weather permitting).
The ride is a very social relaxed and fun ride using a circuitous route to keep off Montauk highway. We make several planned stops for yummy baked goods and coffee along the way. After reaching the point for a team photo we ultimately end-up back in Montauk village to grab a late lunch then take the train back to Shirley/Mastic. In all the route is about 85 miles. The ride date is 3-weeks before the SBRA Montauk century so it’s a great tune-up
I’d love to see a couple SBRA folks join in for the ride, it costs nothing, but the spirit is to raise some $$ for childhood cancer research. ALSO, the event is open to all riders/capabilities, so if you’d rather put your own team together and plan your own routes that’s totally fine! You don’t even have to ride on May 11th if it doesn’t work for you.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or to brainstorm your own ride. Its all to improve the treatments and outcomes for children having to fight cancer
Thanks!
