NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

This will be a high B/B+ ride, leaving from the SBRA Picnic. We'll leave Indian Island Park for a paceline ride out onto the North Fork.
We'll try to leave at 8:30 AM, but if people are stuck waiting in line to enter the park, we may delay a few minutes.
We may have a quick stop in Cutchogue or at our eventual destination: the Horton Point Lighthouse. Then it's back along Middle Road and the Main Road to Mattituck. We'll then ride along the Peconic and back to the Park. There's always the option of the Adirondack Chairs on the return run!
The ride is a NO GO, if it's raining at start time!
The club's Annual Picnic will have many ride levels available, so pick the ride/distance of your choice. Following the ride there will be water, food, sides, and dessert. Bring any beverage ofyour choice, including beer and/or wine.
My ride will be a C pace and will go to Mattituck. The route will be decided the day of the ride, so no cue sheets. Bathroom, snacks, and beverages available at the halfway point break (most likely the Deli on Love Lane in Mattituck).
NOTE: The number of riders on my ride is limited, so youMUST text me with your name, SBRA Member Number, and Emergency Contact phone number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
Please join me for a ride before our annual SBRA Picnic! You can do the ride even if you do not stay for the Picnic, but if you plan on staying for the picinic you have to sign up. (sign up to be posted soon).
For those staying for the picnic bring a change of clothes and if you want there are showers as well.
Reach out if you have any questions. Get to the park by 8 if you do not want to pay to get in otherwise I believe it is 15.00 for the park fee.
I'm posting this for anyone who would like a slower, shorter ride. If no one contacts me prior, I will ride with Jeff. You can do the ride and not stay for the picnic but you'd be missing out! If you want to come to the picnic, make sure you sign up before the deadline. See the main page of the website for additional information.
The club's Annual Picnic is back! Many ride levels will be available, so pick the ride/distance of your choice. Following the ride there will be water, food, sides, and dessert. You may bring any beverage ofyour choice, including beer and/or wine. 21-25 mile route depends on wind, riders, position of moon, tide and ride leaders disposition. Average 11.5-12.5mph. If you're there before 8am you beat the parking fee.
Can't stay for the picnic? You can still come out and ride. Nobody gets dropped.
