I would like to thank the MANY volunteers that helped out at the BBB yesterday. Each and every water stop were well equipped with supplies and extremely capable personnel. Road markings were excellent, as well as parking and administration. It was like a well oiled machine. Thanks to EVERYONE who helped out this year.
I especially want to thank the Shelter Island crew as when I got there early they had canopies and tables set up and were busy cutting oranges, bananas and making PB&J sandwiches. WHAT A CREW!
Also a special THANK YOU to Christines crew for all their help setting up and serving the lunch crowd. They worked effortlessly all day long. What a relief to have a bunch of professionals helping you out for the day.
Some of the comments I heard throughout the day were:
"WOW, WHAT A GREAT EVENT"!
"FANTASTIC RIDE"
"YOU GUYS GIVE A LOT OF BANG FOR OUR BUCK, YOU SHOULD CHARGE MORE"!
"I THINK I STILL SEE SOME SPACKLE ON THAT PAINT MIXER"!
"I NEVER KNEW YOU COULD HAVE THAT MANY VARIATIONS ON PB&J"!
"YOU GUYS ARE REALLY ORGANIZED"!
"I'M TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS TO GET ON THIS RIDE NEXT YEAR"!
"HEY BUDDY, YOU REALLY LIKE THAT DRILL DON'T YOU"?
"THESE HEROS ARE THE BEST I EVER HAD ON OR OFF A RIDE"!
"WHAT NO LOBSTER?"!
