"I just wanted to let you know that Liz was hit by a car on Saturday while riding her bike. We were riding together on East Bartlett road when a car turned left into driveway directly in front of us. We had no place to go, apparently the woman did not see us. I honestly think she was distracted by her phone. She broke her clavicle, tore some tendons in her shoulder, broke a tooth, and a received a concussion. She was taken to Stonybrook ER and spent the night there under careful observation. She was able to come home on Sunday in the afternoon. She is in lots of pain, she has a long road ahead of her, but she is very lucky, it could have been a lot worse.

Please be careful out there. "
