We apologize for the inconvenience of this slow site. It was never fast due to the a bit old server it is hosted on, but it was not as slow before. Page generation times were and should be around 0.5 to 1 second (as early this year), but now -- more or less independent of number of online users -- I see up to 4..5s delays.
I am currently investigating with our host and if nothing helps, we have to make a switch and move -- but this is a time consuming process and involves downtime and/or a re-only site.
Please be patient. It is NOT the Drupal software nor the just little growing database (this is nothing so far) -- I assume some server settings or just that old thing got overloaded with more stuff I am not aware of.
TIP: If you do not intend to post, just browse or look up things -- do NOT log on, as then pages are coming from cache and the page generation/load time is much less (up 100x faster if the cache kicks in) -- but contents can be up to max 5 minutes old. This in mind, read all you need, and just log on as last step to post/comment/add a ride, etc., if done, log off.
All I can suggest for now.
