I know some members ride through Heckscher Park, and I'm wondering if anyone has noticed the sliding lockable gates that have been constructed at the auxiliary entrances/exits. I'm down at the Park frequently, and these gates are relatively new. Also, and I'm not sure how new they are, 'No Parking' signs have been placed near the Timber Point Road entrance, in areas where parking used to be legal. Has anyone heard anything about what the Park's agenda is regarding these things? I can't help but think there is an agenda, probably involving increasing revenue.
