If you've enjoyed using Brookhave State Park for riding on the trails or fire roads (or the non-SBRA events of X-Cty skiing or hiking) then perhaps you would like to see the parkland maintained and continue to be open to users. There was a time when one would find burnt out cars in those woods or fire roads that flooded beyond use for days after a rain. There were quad vehicle users that tore up the woods and fire roads until NYS put troopers on their case. NYS has made a vast improvement to this park (even adding a parking lot and portable toilet). There are now three fire roads that have good markings that are even reflective in the dark. This park may be closed after March unless NYS hears from its users. take a few moments and send a letter to the following:
