Summer is almost over. I have missed all the rides this past (long) w/end due to call. My last ride was with Barbs on 8/31. So today, I could not wait to finish my cases at SB and get on the bike.
I also thought I will need (due to long pause) someone to run beside me and hold my saddle (as my sister did when I was little) until I find my balance :)
This was one of the most beautiful days to be on the bike, appreciated even more since the summer is coming to an end - FAST (we just had a rude awakening these last few days).
Biked my routine... Old Field Light House- Crane Neck twice... chatted with landscapers at the mansion, the gate was open and they were telling me how much effort it takes to maintain it the way we see it.
Then went to West Meadow and watched the sun disappear under horizon... Was not nearly as good as last week... missed that great company :(
Biking is an addiction. I just started this year, after biking as a child. Whatever I do, I give it 100% and my very best. Now, I am thinking... what is it that you guys do during winter, w/out that wind in the ears and the clearing of the mind, until everything negative is washed off? How does one hibernate? April cannot come fast enough!
