    Keeping up with Goodstadt

Anyone who, like me, has unsuccessfully tried to move into the B+ or B+/A category has likely encountered Ron Goodstadt who either sets the pace or adds to the near impossibility of attaining the next level.

Yesterday, I'm happy to report, that I was able to stay with Goodstadt and for the majority of the ride, and for most of the ride, able to outpace him.

Wow, I guess practice and patience pays, right? Well, just one minor detail, the Goodstadt I was proudly able to outpace was not Ron, but Steve, Ron's son.

Steve Goodstadt, Ron's mid-twenty year old son, was doing either his first SBRA ride or his first SBRA ride this season and went with us B-ers, I guess, just to, who knows. Judging from how, at the end of the ride, as we surged ahead of the group, he left me in the dust, leads me to believe, that I probably had a once in a lifetime opportunity to keep up with Goodstadt.

    Thanks Steve!!
