I had to be out of town for the only day of Ride Leader training for the year, so I am not able to be a ride leader for an entire year until I can attend next year's ride leader training. This seems odd. Why do we only have one training day per year? Our club has very few rides at my level, and I was hoping to help change that this year by leading some of the rides and perhaps getting some younger cyclists into the club, but as it stands, this can't happen until next year – unless I'm out of town on SBRA's only ride-leader training day again.

So how about it? Can we/should we have another ride leader training opportunity?
