The North Shore Rails to Trail Alliance supports creating a new bike and pedestrian path from Port Jefferson to Wading River. This would be one of Long Island's longest, and most beautiful recreational corridors.
Bicyclists, runners, rollerbladers, walkers, naturalists, and greenway enthusiasts are needed to attend just one very important meeting to show their support for this project on Wednesday, November 28, at 7:00pm (See details below.)

Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker and Department of Public Works and Chief Engineer William Hillman will host a public information forum for the Rails to Trails Program. The event will provide up to date information about the program, as well as gather input from the community.

Suffolk County is considering the construction of a 10 mile long pedestrian and bicycle path from Port Jefferson to Wading River within the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) property.
