The "GOAT" hill ride leaving out of Stony Brook posted for this Saturday, 4/4/09, is a total of 54 miles. The 54 miles ride consists of two loops, each loop will be 27 miles. The first loop starts at 8:00am and will travel west of Stony Brook. The first loop will end back at the start where we will have a deli stop. The second loop will start at about 10:30am. The second loop will travel east of Stony Brook with a deli stop in Mt Sinai. Riders can choose to ride the first loop or the second loop or both loops. I drive a gray GMC pickup truck. I will post a sign in my window as to which loop is in progress. The ride is hilly and quit challenging. I will make every attempt to keep the group together. The weather looks to be as good as it gets for bike riding.
