The Tour de France TV announcer (Paul Sherwin) pointed out an interesting road sign on today's route. The sign called for cars to give cyclists 1.5 meter of passing room. That's about five feet!

I seem to recall a US standard of 3 feet (which seems reasonable but is rarely displayed or enforced). A Driver Ed car recently passed me within about six inches! At the very least, we could use more "Share The Road" signs!
